This is an older photo and I apologize! Too tired to take a new one!
~
Yes, it's true, I'm 50 today. I'm uncertain about 50. I talked to my mom and MIL yesterday and they told me to embrace it because the "best is yet to be." What the hell are they smoking?

I turned fifty and got my first manual prostrate exam. I fell in love with my doctor that day. I am only glad she has narrow fingers. See that's what they are talking about I found love at fifty.

ha ha ha ha ha ha Have a good birthday kiddo...be satisfied that by fifty you at least have nothing much more to obsess over. You is what you is.

Happy Birthday, sweet friend!

Don't fret about fifty -- employ the Merlin Revenge ("youthen" as you age). It's been working for me throughout the 40s. ; D I am much more fun, less serious, and seriously more well-rested than I EVER was in the 20s or 30s with five little ones and so many worries to age me. These days I tempt laugh lines every chance I get. I gift you with the wish that you find the key to the freedom in happiness this very special year.

Much Love,
Debbie

TWM,

I am what I am. It's not too bad, so I'm going to stick with...well...me! Wonderful advice as always. I'm sitting here looking at the back of your damn head and Walt Whitman's beard. What do you think's under his hat? You be the judge when to book arrives. I know he has hair because it's spilling out, but I'm not sure if it reaches the top. You know what I mean? You guys are similar. You'll see. But why aren't you grey? You're older than me. Are you using Grecian Formula? And turn around. Do you have a beard? Do you drive a Harley? What? I'm just asking.

*Suze exits singing "Happy Birthday to Me...*

Mark,

Thank you darling and this is my new plan. Work my ass off all day and fall asleep at night. I'm 50 and my priorities have changed. NO MORE BLOGGING. What? "Too rash, too unadvised, too sudden?" That's a scene in a play. Which one, I have no idea. I don't think it's Shakespeare, but maybe it is. I don't remember everything I've read. Maybe it is Shakespeare, but I'm not sure, so don't quote me because I'm not even sure my quote is correct!!! Yes, it's true, my brain works a mile a minute and that is so unfair because it leaves little time for blogging. YES, of course I'll blog, but I really have to blog less. Really.

Love to all! XOXOXOXO

Krystyna,

Thanks darling. Really. You know, everyone is saying the same thing, so I'm going to throw my hands in the air and wait. It's funny because I did a drawing of a woman with her hands in the air a few years ago. I'll post it here and get everyone's feedback. Just drawing it was freeing. It's interesting how I think of the drawing on this day.

I love you dear and hope all is well in your life. I tried to comment by couldn't a few days ago. My heart is always with you and your family. Always. And thank you for the gift of your mother. I adore her so.

Much love,
Me XOXOXO

I love you so. You always make me feel more beautiful than I am. Thank you. I've realized that talking to friend and family and to all my cherished blogging friends, I'm so lucky. Do you know what I mean? I'm so, so lucky. When I have challenging days, I will always remember this day.

Thank you.

Maria,

I love you so. I listened. I started to cry. That's Chopin. Piano music kills me. Watching your SIL play is so, so, so beautiful. I'm crying, not because I'm sad, but because I'm so happy. It's beyond lovely to hear, but more beautiful to watch and artist play. Thank you so very much.

I love you darling. Thank you for this.

Debbie,

My darling sweet friend. I'm listening to piano music from Poland and I'm crying. I am. Piano music kills me. I know you know that. No, nothing changes.

I'm so happy you're here. I am darling. I was about to visit and tell you how much I miss you and here you are. I'm so grateful. I just got off the phone with my mom and she reminded me to embrace all who grace my life. Thank you darling. I love you very, very much.

You tell me if I have a beard or not and no though it is thin on top, unlike all of my siblings I do not have gray on my head hair. That is my natural hair color. I just don't stress about anything.

Now if you were to hug me, wouldn't that really be a Birthday present for me? :)

I have been to the west coast once in 43 years, if I make it there again, I will surely visit!

Thanks Megan. You silly girl!

TWM,

God, how do you not stress. I would love to be you for just one single freakin' day!!!

Okay, I'm going to go out on a limb here. No beard. But that doesn't count if you ride a Harley. Do you ride a Harley? So this is my "sort of" official response, but my "really" official until I hear about the Harley.

Ha!!!

Peter,

Hello my dear friend. You look beautiful. Thank you. I love you very much.

I have a package for Em that is becoming so big I'm scared to go to the post office!!! Swear to God. No joke. You'll laugh, but I think I'm just going to pull the post cards and send them first to navigate price because when I called the post office the bitch that answered didn't help at all!!! She was so rude to me!!! And this is military mail!!! But apparently there's a difference between British and American. On British, I don't get a discount. And I have books, games, stuffed animals, post cards, etc. *Suze rolls eyes in head.* Peter, Em better like a stuffed animal!!! Oh, and games. Cuz if I'm paying premium, she's gonna like it.

You know what sweetie? Seeing the two of you together during her visit warmed my heart. I know she's so happy and you too. I can't imagine how hard it is being away from home for so long and I swear to you, the photos just made me smile. Because I know the love of a sister or a brother.

I love you very much darling. Thanks for making the effort to stop by. Hope all is well with your life.

Huge XO ;)

Otin,

Well, I never really thought of it like that!!! But yes, you're right!!! But it would also be my honor. And just so you know, I hope to sell the house and move back east to be near my dear family. So...if you ever travel east! I'll be there too!

Thank you darling. Isn't it wierd? 50's just always been a number off in the distance and then suddenly, here. What do you think about it. I'm serious. What about it lives up to expectations and what doesn't? I've been thinking about that the past few days.

Love you darling and thanks for always stopping by. I have some pretty good kitty stories for you and hope to get them posted over the next few days. Hold on!

Happy Birthday!

50 is the new 30. You only get better as you age. I survived it and so will you cause as I say, it sure beats the alternative. But then you could always be like my mom who is just 39 and holding. Which is funny since all of her kids are over 40, but she still swears she is only 39 and it is not her fault that all her kids keep aging.

And you look better than a lot of 30 year olds out there. I do not know why some of them already look so old, but they do. I think it is cause they go to those tanning salons all the time and just bake and fry their skin. They will be so lucky to look like you when they turn 50.

Keep going like your going and in another 50 you will be 100 and then 50 will sound so young. Heck in another 10 years 50 will sound young.

God bless and Happy Birthday to you!!!!!!
