Diving In

I'm new to blogging and a bit uncertain. I'm a pretty smart cookie, but can't seem to figure out much of anything to be quite honest. I tried to sign in after creating my blog yesterday and got a big fat nothing. Tried again. And again. And again. Nothing. Nothing. Nothing. Thought perhaps I didn't really have a blog, so attempted to create a new blog, but was told I already had a blog. Hummmmmm. Where? Good Lord is this a joke!!!???
~
Today I got here by pure luck. Frankly, I have no clue how, but poof, here I am, so I'm writing as fast as I can. I expect this to vaporize any minute now because yesterday when I was writing my profile I was told I had over 1200 words and a minute later all my effort was for naught. Everything I wrote vanished! Okay, I'll have to work on that too.

I'm an artist and paint large canvases (usually 4'x4' - 8'x8') of mostly roses. I grow hundreds along with other perennials, shrubs, trees, etc. I would like to think my gardens are Romantic English Country style, and they are if you have blurry vision and overlook the weeds. I thought I had that problem solved with a six inch layer of mulch last fall, but are you aware crab grass loves mulch? Yup, it does. Grows right over it.

I just uploaded a photo of a small portion of one of my paintings and expected it to be right here. It isn't. It's at the top of the page. I tried again and had two photos of the same image at the top of the page. Hummmmmm. How do I get it here? My cursor was here, so doesn't that mean my photo should be here? Hummmmmm. I'll have to work on that too.

A little about me. Why? Because I can't figure out how to fit it all in my profile yet without it being erased. I'm young, gorgeous and smart. Okay, seriously, I'm nearing 50, not too bad on the eye and relatively intelligent. I Studied architecture for almost 5 years and then art and art history at UC Berkeley, The California College Of The Arts and UCLA. I have a hubby, six rescue kitties, one rescue dog and 3 rescue gold fish (from Petco's "Feeder Tank"). Oh, and we're fostering 3 kittens I rescued from a state park and still feeding 9 more that need to be rescued. I'm a strict vegetarian and one day hope to attain veganism! That's just hard! Trust me, if you don't know...that's just hard honey. Our back yard is a wildlife habitat. We feed the birds and squirrels and and what ever else wanders in day or night. We're an equal opportunity feeding station. I can not imagine my life without animals or art. I believe that every day is a gift and I try very hard to live without embarrassing myself.

I'd add more photos, but have no clue how do so yet. Something to look forward to!
