My sisters and I often call it "Stupid funny..."

Well, as you all know I couldn't give T-Bone "Butterbeary." So today I went shopping for new teddies. I found another Ty with tag still in ear (Molassas) and a side kick. Adorable.
So while Butterbeary's relaxing in the studio let's enjoy the fun.

Whoops! What the hell are they doing here? They're supposed to be at the end. Oh well.

Here we go round the mulberry bush.
The mulberry bush,
the mulberry bush.
Here we go round the mulberry bush,
So early in the morning.
This is the way we wash our clothes,
Wash our clothes,
wash our clothes,
This is the way we wash our clothes,
So early Monday morning
(If I'm correct, it's Wednesday!)
This is the way we dry our clothes,
dry our clothes,
dry our clothes,
this is the way we dry our clothes,
so early Tuesday morning.
(If I'm correct, it's Wednesday.)
The "clean" crew.
Some completely wacky dog I met on an outing. No not really. It's T-Bone.
XO
P.S . Trust me, I couldn't have scripted this better.

Hi Suzanne,

Washing the bears. Never thought of giving them a rinse in the washer. Makes sense though.

Best wishes,

Skeeter

God, how funny. I'm just about to go to bed but was going to visit your blog first. Why? Because I thought about you at the park this morning. How funny.

Yes, washing bears, good. Clean. Good!!! See how happy they look?!!! Good!

You scored some gorgeous teddies! I never tried washing and drying stuffed animals, but now I'm gonna. Why not after all? Yours look so healthy after their bath.

Leah,

It's amazing how many stuff toys wait for adoption at thrift stores all over the world. I'm serious. I don't think you and Hedgie have adopted enough because the two of you have allowed the problem to get completely out of control! CHINA MUST STOP MAKING STUFFED ANIMALS!! (Have you noticed almost every tag reads "Made in China?")

And yes, the wee ones clean up beautifully. Even the Beanie Babies. I threw T-Bone's Beanie Baby sheep in the laundry all the time when it was alive, even through it was made with those little pellets and not stuffing. Worked fine. You just have to be sure seams are tight and there aren't any holes, otherwise, look out! The washer will be filled with stuffing once it takes it's first spin. Yup, it's happened to me. ;)

I wash toys (all toys) about once a week and wouldn't think of bringing a stuffed animal home from the thrift store without laundering it first. Here's how I do it:

1. Detergent
2. Hot water or hot mixed with warm.
3. Gentle cycle.
4. Wash, then rinse twice to be sure all the detergent is out.
5. Dry normally. You can even dry stuffed animals half way in the dryer to get them fluffy again, then let them sit in the sun to dry the rest of the way and absorb Vitamin D.

Love you darling. Hope you're haveing a nice afternoon. We'll chat soon.

Oh, almost forgot. I was on Em's blog last night. Go check it out. She wrote about waiting for mail to arrive and the blow when it doesn't. Not email, real mail. I've put in a request for her address via Peter or Kylie and hope to start sending notes soon. You and the crew might want to as well. Em is obviously stuggling without her darling companion, their dog, Peter, Mom, Dad and friends. It must be so hard. Sarge probably understands all too well. You know I was thinking, what if we gather 7 or more friends and each writes one day a week. That way we keep individual costs down, but still manage to get a snail mail letter to Em every day. What do you think? Are you in? I was thinking to keep my costs down I'll probably write on toilet tissue that's shredded around this joint on a weekly basis. Em will have to put the note together like a puzzle! But that'll be half the fun! I was thinking the best way to recruit friends is with a post. Good idea? I bet Skeeter's in. He was in the military if I remember correctly.

Okay honey, gotta go. Let me know what you think. Kisses and hugs all around.

Oh God, one more thing. Em is prolific, page back to the tribute on her Dad's birthday. It's just lovely. Bye darling!

Oh, and young lady, I'm amazed you didn't comment on some of the books in my studio. *Suze hangs head and walks away. "Leah, Leah, Leah."*

And yes, I agree, they are "...gorgeous teddies." What am I going to do with them?!

Hi Bob!

And where were the helmets for the bears?
You could have knocked the stuffing out of them

Walker,

As a new parent I made a terrible, terrible mistake. I'll do better next time. Perhaps you should alert Leah to the helmet rule because I think she's going to have a laundry fest with Hedgie's collection!
