Mom, dad, babe. If only there was one. I have about 10. They all survivied the fire. Hillary, Tom and the wee one.
Yes, of course I love him. Life goes on.

It's raining here in KC. It's the first time I've felt a raindrop since I don't know when. I must have looked like some kind of dork looking up and letting the droplets hit my face.

So glad to see the happy kitties...they are beautiful.

Suzanne said...

RC, thanks baby. It's hard, you know? I'd hoped for something better. But yes, beautiful.

And Bob, I hope you get your ass kicked. Why? Because you rained on my parade.

Great to see the kitties survived the fire. They seemed to have found their way back home. Cute photo.
as you know i am supposed to be going through menopause.
The other day i went to the library to look for a book. I asked the lady at the desk if they had a book called "Is it me or Menopause?"
The lady looked a little awkward when she replied "Well i don't know dear, i can't answer that". I then realised she didn't hear all the question. So i told her it was a book title and we both had a good laugh.

Precious "family" photo. That little one is a cutie. He needs a name like Hope or Phoenix. So nice to see the happy ending (I'm such a sucker for happy endings **sigh**). : )

I especially love that first photo; they are so beautiful and sentient.

Not to sound stupid or something, but who is Phillipe? I totally didn't get your last couple of posts. Yes I read the one you deleted, I just didn't leave a comment. But I do love the kitties. The baby one reminds me of our beloved lost Opossum. He was a siamese mix and he looked just like a baby opossum when he was born. But he grew into one of the most beautiful cats I have ever seen. And he was a sweet cat. I miss him. Now who is Phillipe, besides being your sister's neighbor.

Hi Jo! Too funny!!! Menopause is hard honey. I'm struggling. I can hardly wait for the other side. One thing I must mention however, is I'm having fewer migraines. That's a good thing. It's what I'd always hoped for.

Love you dear and hang in there! See you on the other side!

XO to everyone.

Hey Peter,

Thank you honey. Yup, seems as if all the mommies did good. 10 new babies survived the fire. They're all beautiful and precious, but also a heartache. I could have done better. Life feeding and helping ferals is heartbreaking and complex. And oh, never simple. Never. For every step forward I feel as if I take three back. Not always the greatest feeling.

I love you and thanks for your continued support and love. You mean the world to me. I love you baby and have a wonderful vacation at home.

Maria,

Hello my dear friend. Thank you. I was unable to get three females spay and one male neutered. The result is obvious. Ugh. But life is amazing in that it goes on with or without me. Now the goal is to get everyone spay and neutered in the next six months with help from various rescue organizations because I can no longer afford to pay for all the spay and neuters (average cost $250 a shot!) Wish me luck honey!

Thanks for your continued love and support. It means the world to me. Hope all is well. Love you.

Walker ~ thanks honey. Just posted on your blog. God you bring out the honest in me!!! I find you compelling. Of course I'm laughing. I can't believe Robyn introduced us. How amazing. And remember when INNER VOICES found you after my introduction. Funny how that man doesn't understand me. He is like a brother you know, so he wobbles and waffles. I think he's unwilling to accept.

The kittens are all beautiful and I love every single one. I just wish I'd done better and they didn't exist. If I'd done my job right, life would be different. But I didn't. Life is hard.

Debbie,

Hi baby. I'll name him Hope. I think he's a male because he's very, very bold and wants to be near me. Feral females are always very protective, reserved and smart. Why? Because they have to be to raise a litter. I believe I'll pet him within the month. He's beautiful. You know I stuggle with all of this. I could have prevened this you know, but was unable. I do my best at the park and no, it's not always perfect.

Thank you darling. I will definately get your message to her. Eventually she'll be in touch. Trust me. She has NEVER forgotten her friends.

We are all sisters, aren't we. You are always welcome here and I will tuck as much info as possible when it's possible. You're so precious and thank you for your kind words. And yes, the kitties are gorgeous!!!

Cielo,

Thank you honey. I'm sorry for being such a horrible friend. I simply have too much on my plate. Honestly. I'll stop by this weekend and play catch-up. I love you for sticking with me despite my obvious failures. Well of course I'm laughing!!! What? What's the alternative? Crying That hurts my eyes! I'll stop by this weekend and leave a really, really mushy, gushy comment to make up for the past weeks! Get ready!

;)
Love, Moi

Leah,

Hey babe!!! Why are you still stalking me? I'm sitting in the mountains with a bottle of Chardonnay and a wine glass. Cut me some slack and take your whip back to the Wild Onion. I'm not coming back till that think is back in Severus' hand. No really. I'm not kidding.

Mr. Shife,

You are more than welcome. Good luck with the Daddy Chronicles. I can hardly wait. God it's gonna be too much fun to watch the wee one grow up and you and Mrs. S. navigate. Look what the two of you did!!! Yippie!!!

Love ya!
Me ;)

Mr Shife,

Oviously you aren't going to need Po's book,"What Should I Do With My Life!" You apparently did it!

Hi Leah,

That first photo is a gem. I couldn't believe how precious it was when I saw it. You'll understand this. There are times when I'm with my wee ones and feel I'm in a very holy place. It's like an outdoor cathedral. You know I'm not religious, but I swear, it's the only place I feel close to God and St. Francis. I never fail to ask for their help upon arrival and thank them when I leave. I don't know why, but it matters. St. Francis is a Catholic Saint. I'm not Catholic! But I know he's always with me, except for the time I lost Ireland. I was very angry with him for months, but then he slowly crept back into my life. Everyone worries about me alone in the woods with the cats, but I never feel alone. I always feel protected. I know they're with me. Why? Honestly, I don't know. I just feel them. And why else would the whole forest burn, but leave our little spot if not for the will of God? Perhaps you know the answer.

There are 10 kittens. They represent my failure to spay 3 females, but they also represent the miracle that is life. I stood and watched them eat and play today and cried. I just sobbed with joy.

Love you my dear,
Me

Viv,

Hi honey! And thanks. It's an honor. I'll visit soon. So sorry I haven't been around. Hope all is well.

Suzanne said...

Cece,

I'll explain about Philippe.

You're Opossum sounds adorable. I'm so sorry you lost him. That is a hard thing. I was thinking of Ireland on the way home today, as I do every day and said into the wind, "I hope you found a beautiful home honey." There are so many people who love cats in this neighborhood, so it is my sincere hope he found a loving family. It's been over 7 months since I lost him and not a day goes by that I don't think of him. I understand. Trust me. I understand.

I love you my dear. Thank's for your friendship and kindness.

Giggie!!!

Welcome home! I was wondering if you'd ever get off that bridge. I didn't have hope. I'll admit. But look, you found your way!!! THANK GOD. Honey, I'm not so sure you should ever get on a bridge again. Next time, just swim across.

Honey, the kittens are beautiful, but also represent my failure, so it's a double-edged sword. But thanks for your constant support and love. I adore you to death! Welcome back baby. I've missed you terribly.

Got the book today. Thank you so much. Love the drawings and the note on the package, and the note inside the book was awesome as well. I have to read a daddy book and then I will read yours. And I promise to pass it along. You are the best. Thanks again.

Leah said...

Yes, I love the way you describe your forest cathedral. There's a beautiful description of that idea in a book...but what book I can't remember...I'll get back to you on this...I have a secret moss-carpeted glade in the woods behind our house upstate. I used to go there all the time as an adolescent. I think I need to revisit it.

Now you're starting to rack up the comments again! New post! New post! ...no pressure though...

Suzanne said...

Leah, thank you with tears in my eyes. You always make a difference. Always. Find that mossy glade. For some reason it will matter. I had one too and remember it fondly. Wish I could so easily wade back to it like you. Why does like become so complicated?

I love you so much Leah. Thank you for your support and kind words. You make me better than I am, and for that I am grateful. Seriously.

Huge hug and big kiss,
Me

Mr. Shife,

Thanks darlin'. So glad it arrived and you liked it and the package it was sent in! Yes, I know, juvenile, but oh so much fun!!! Have a fun read and look forward to what you learn in the Daddy Chronicles. Keep us informed. Send the book to Leah next. She'd love it.

Happy day dear friend. Love you.

I don't know how to make it more beautiful than it is. Leah, thank you. I stand in the woods every day and I don't always know why. Thank you for reminding me of the beauty. I love you so very, very much.
