Once upon a time...

Once upon a time OhNo was tiny and could fit in Rusty's hands. Now he's all big. Isn't it amazing how time flies? It's almost Christmas. Almost Thanksgiving. Almost a new year. Where did the time go? I look at this photo and it feels like yesterday, but it isn't. It's almost 2009. I vote in less that 48 hours and am so grateful I could just scream!!! Time moves on, and it should. But thank God I get to keep memories in photos.

I remember too how I use to have so many comments I couldn't keep up. Now I don't. I'm not sure if it's because I said something or because I accidently deleted my blog roll. I just notice my comments are few. I can almost keep up with 10! Hummmmmmmmm. It's funny how life can change in a year.

P.S. If you have time, please visit Robyn's blog . I don't have the link, but get there via IV or some other dear friend. You won't regret it. Oh, and turn on the sound.

And also, I'm sure you noticed, I stopped writing for everyone else and started writing for me. This is a very personal journey and a lot's change in a year. A lot. I'm probably going to end this blog in the next few months. Not because I don't love all of you, but because I have to make a living.

Hiahway 34B HMMMMMMMMM!!! Nothing wrong with that. How many cats do you have at your house??

Good for you writing for you.

Turkeys in your backyard you say.........

Suzanne said...

I wrote to you, but then accidently deleted it.

No, nothing's wrong with 34B I can't even believe you caught that!!! Too funny. I never, in a million years thought anyone would catch that. I'm not so tall and as an artist believe in proportion. They fit me! Perfectly. Oh crap, that's too funny.

Yup, turkeys in my backyard. I have photos to prove it. I'll post them. You are not allowed to bring a gun. But you can look. I promise to wear my 34B bra and point only in the diretion of stupid. Okay. North. What?

Hi Suze! I think it's good to write for yourself. I try to do that too, just whatever strikes my fancy, or whatever I need to write. And time passing, measured in cats and children, is quite astonishing. I can scarcely turn my head and everything is different...

As for the comments, doesn't it seem a bit quiet around the blogosphere in general recently? A little subdued or something. I don't know. Maybe it's the time of year--the beginning of hibernation!

Oh man, are you gonna stop this blog again! Okay, okay. I guess if you have to make a living and everything. *sigh* Can't we just keep on blogging forever, and never have to do that work stuff? Please!!!

Okay, okay. Sorry about the fiasco with your phone call the other day. My kids were crazy when you called. You probably think I can't control them...well, I can't! ACKKK! Sometimes I wonder why God gave me these children because they are so amazing and strong-willed and energetic. I just can't keep up sometimes. I'm sure you know the feeling...

My dear, do what you need to do. But we'll miss you. Oh how we'll miss you.

Oh my, don't tell me you're planning to finish your blog, now that I had started enjoying the roses and kittens, and even the wild turkeys in the back yard!

(why do i have the impression that I'm always late?)

It's very nice to write for oneself, Suzanne, and I really hope you do enjoy it. I started the other way around: I wrote for myself for years and then one day I shared what I had written and I opened a blog.

It's hard to write-blog-comment-answer when you have a day job, but hey, it's not impossible -just encouraging you to continue :)-

And yes, I do need an American calendar -IV posted again and I missed the chance to answer to your nice comment in his blog-. It will be lovely and i will appreciate that if you post some photos.

Good luck tomorrow -tuesday, elections, vote-, the whole world is watching you guys!

You should always write for you and to you.
Otherwise it becomes just another task to do.

Blottie dear... we did it! Hope springs eternal. You keep writing for YOU... your friends will never leave you. Unless of course you get really, really, really, boring... then we're outta here faster than you can say OhNo. You know I'm kidding Suzanne :)

Hugs, just bob

So you have noticed a decrease in comments? I think that I have too.

I actually think that blogs and blogging is a time consuming process and that most people burn out or find other things to do. I used to have about 30 plus blogs that I would visit, but that number is down to about 8 and consists of my closest blogging buddies.

I guess that all you can do is write well and write often. If you do, they will come.

Hi ya Suzanne,

Love your kitties. They're great. Well, it will be sad to see your blog come to a close because it's been a lot of fun to keep up with you kitties and adventures. You'll still visit the Onion though, right?

Best wishes,

It was so nice to talk to you this evening. My spirits needed a lift, and I knew I could count on you. Thanks for being there. Life will get better, for all of us. The winds of Change are blowing.

Hi baby. You're welcome. You do more for me than I do for you I'm afraid. You're a dear, dear soul and I love you. Honestly, I do. I was so exhausted I didn't think I had the energy to talk, but look at the results from a wee bit of effort!

You know I love you and we'll get through this together. Life is often so complicated and painful, so it's nice to have a friend to lean on. And you are certainly that.

I have a surprise for you tonight. Rob's going to call you. I hope you're home. When he came home this afternoon I mentioned we'd communicated and the first thing he asked is "How is her sister?" I thought that was so lovely. He's calling you as we speak, but you aren't available, so is leaving a message. Give him a call. He left his cell for that very reason. He adores you as much as you do him.

I hope 24 hours have brought you more peace. As for me, the ferals are still at the vet's in quarantine and very, very ill. I visit them every day and give them lots of love and hugs and that helps. I must admit that life at the park this year has been so unkind. After our conversation last night I accessed my blog, saw Hillary and cried. What a huge loss. In the back of my mind I think I still believe she'll just walk back in one morning, but I know she won't. Life is so complicated and so hard. Why?

I love you darling, and thanks for loving me.

I got blindsided yesterday. I call later in the week to elaborate. Not until after Thursday. I'll give Rob a call later today too, and leave him a block of time to call back as he requested. I didn't recognize the number last night, so I didn't pick up, but I did get his message. I'll talk to you soon. Hang in there, and I will too!

Hey Susan stopped by to say Hi! I saw you on a new blog I just visited. Hope your fall is going better for you dear one. Still so sorry about your kitties! We just lost yet another cat to the coyotes this fall. It is so sad, we love cats, but the predators are just too relentless here. Missing Bella :[

Hi Hi! I've been wandering around in the wilderness a bit these days myself ... I found my way to your "studio" so I thought I'd say "Hi!"

Just wanted to gaze at your pretty kitty pics and tell you I miss your cheerful/full-bodied banter.

Hope life is treating you well! : )

Well I will miss you but I am not going to worry about it right now and just enjoy you while you are still around. Have a good weekend/

I have to move on, but before I do, I want to say thanks to all of you who commented.

Hi baby. It's quiet. I think that's a good thing. We need to rest. I know I do.

And writing for oneself. Yes. I think we should. I'm going through so much pain with kitties right now, and writing about it helps. I've lost so many in the past month I almost don't know what to do. I cry and bury my head, but it isn't enough. You know?

Hi honey. I love your kids. They're funny and make me laugh. And no, I don't think you're a bad mom. I think you're a really good mom. Look what you have. Two smart, adorable kids who absolutely crack me up. Oh, an then there's you! You crack me up too!

I say I'm going away all the time, but then don't. I need the rest, but for some reason keep coming back to this. I'm going to modify however. Okay, so be offically warned...I'm modifying. NO, I'M NOT JOKING THIS TIME!!!

You still here!!!??? Hi honey! I know. I actually started this blog to keep in touch with my family and look what it's become? Frankly, I don't even think my family reads it. So yes, I've decided to just write for myself. No, it probably won't be pretty. Good luck with that! See you soon.

Just Bob,

Oh, you're a real joker. I'm not going anywhere, just threaten. I swear to God there are days I can't imagine continuing, but I log on and laugh my ass off. So here I am. Thanks babe. I love you. If this divorce is for real I'm coming to San Jose and I'm going to marry you. Then we'll move to Minnesota with something like 16 cats!!! What? You game?

What? WHAT!!!??? You know I love you. Hi honey! Almost a year later and here we are. It didn't get easier, did it? I know. Brian, we've been though so much, yet here we are. I think that's what I love about us most. We're still standing. I love you.

Hi honey. I know and understand. Your blog is so beatiful and a haven. Thank you my darling.

I love you. Thanks.

You think? I know, I always threaten, but do I do it? No. I find my way. Thanks babe for always believing.

Just believe.

I love you so much.

Hi you dear sweet soul. Thank you for gracing my blog. It always matters. Honestly. I love you.

Hi Leah dear. I love you too. I know you know that.

Hi honey!!! Just seeing your face makes me smile. I'll visit more often because you make my day. Love you so much.

A Woman Who Is..

Hi honey. Well you know what, you gave me a name for my new feral kitty. Bella. I have a male and a female and Bella it is for my wee female. What a beautiful name. It's hard isn't it. I cry a lot. Where do you put it? I don't know. But Bella it is. Thanks my dear friend for always stopping by and always caring. You're a gem.

Love you so much and would never call you mean names. Thanks darling. I'll get on a new blog roll soon.

Thanks sweetie. I seem to have lost my voice, but that's okay. We all do. And then suddenly, one day it returns.

Love you so much darling. Thanks for hanging on.

Mr. Shife,

Hummmmmmmmmmmmm. I'm not going to worry either. Sweetie, what you up to this weekend? No, I'm not going to answer all the questions. What?

What a sweet picture! :-D

I'll be sad if you stop blogging, but if you feel it's what you must do, then you must do it. But I'll be sad :(

I came over from another blog...Lavinias, I believe, but I've been reading a few of your posts and I'm such a scatterbrain today I'm not sure. I saw you were a cat person...lover...or crazy cat lady as my kids call me...I just wanted to drop by and say sounded sad, I wanted to cheer you.
