HUGS!!!! Inspired by Bob, but initially by Robyn...

Brothers, Sweet Pea and Rusty
~

Two years ago (has it really been that long?) our darling Robyn wrote a beautiful post for Brian (CSI) and me. It's so precious and I cherish it, and her. Going back to find it today I started to cry as I got closer. I lost my train of throught but think it's on page 11 of her blog!!! Perhaps 12? Honestly, I lost count, but do know it's the February 10, 2007 post. Just keep clickin' past all her wonderful stories and you'll find it. If you have time, read the post, if not, just click on the video. I've watched it probably a hundred times, if not more, and it never gets old. It's a lesson. A beautiful lesson. I have the link here, but please visit Robyn's to get the full effect (you can find her on my blog roll).

And Bob, hugs do matter. We all love you so much and hope that even a virtual one makes a wee bit of difference. Yes, I agree, it's different, but no less heart felt. I love you to bits and when I send a hug, it's real. Just use your imagination honey! :)
~
And Robyn, you still kill me. Paging through your blog brought back so many beautiful memories. So much has changed, yet so much remains the same. I like that. And you my dear, I adore. Thanks for February 9th and 10th. Too beautiful. Oh, and just so you know, I'm looking forward to your birthday!!! Road trip!!!

P.S. To all my dear friends, I'll respond to the comments below over the next few days. Trust me! And thanks for always stopping by. XO

I wish everyone would write a post and link to this video. Imagine the joy you would bring to someone's life?

Second!

Hi baby. And no, the "POST" didn't work and no, not 2008, 2007. Do you need a side of beef or something???!!!

You're welcome.

Yes, I love you!!! XO

P.S. Perhaps you should give it the old college try for real. I'll cheerlead (and trust me, I don't cheerlead for just anybody).

And I forgot to mention that our little pumpkin should be here in less than three weeks. The due date is March 27.

This was very nice. I want to go read her blog post you referred to, but have to get into the shower and get ready for work. Perhaps later...? I hope I don't forget. Sometimes I do.

I agree with Bob about the hugs, but I also agree with you. Just knowing there are people out there, that we can interact with and get virtual love and hugs from, makes the temporary loneliness go away. Thank you for that.

Hugs!

Ok, holy crap. I didn't want to wait to see the video, and I'm sitting here a sniveling mess now. What a beautiful video. Naturally I'll post it. How amazing. Such a beautiful thing.

Crying my eyes out, not even PMSing. Whew.

Hi Suzanne,

Love the video and the message. Robyn wrote me a note and it was really nice to hear from her again.

Best wishes,

Bob,

Thanks. I screwed up. It was 2008. You're the best "Executive Assistant" I've ever had.

Big hug to you my dear friend. Hope you're having a happy Saturday.

Jo,
I'm hungry! Rusty and Sweet Pea are two of the most loving cats I've ever know. They take care of all the ferals I've introduced to the house. It's amazing to see an open heart. I've discovered Ohno on the other hand is a very selfish cat. Everything is "ME, ME, ME," but, you know I love him to death despite his flaw. Like your fur balls, they all have distinct personalities and trust me, they all don't get along! Love to Mark, Helen and the Wee Ones! Oh, also to you! Sorry about that.

Mr Shife my dear man...

Hi honey! You're so kind. Thanks. And I can't believe the baby is almost here. Wow! How? "Well Miss Suze, about 9 months ago Mrs. Shift and I found ourselves..." Okay, knock it off. I do know how it happened, but not how time passed so quickly. There is a difference.

How are you and "Mommy" feeling? Scared? Excited? I can only imagine the emotions running through you as the date gets closer and closer. Infact I was cleaning the living room yesterday and turned on "A Baby Story" and watched 3 episodes (yes, that's how long it takes to clean the damn living room!). What joy, what pain, what anticipation, what amazing results. Every story is unique and fascinating. I haven't watched that show in probably three years. It was so nice to rediscover it and find that babies are still being born!!!

I marked your due date on my calender. Keep in touch here or via email so I know what happens. Oh, and darling, "What are you going to do with your life?" Reply..."I'm going to be a Daddy!!!"

Oh, and this'll make you laugh. I'm sure you'll post the birth on your blog, not on my email!!! Yes, it's true, I have too much on my mind to actually think.

Love to you and your family
~
Megan,

You aren't going to go. And look what you missed out on.

No, really, ya gotta go there and look.

XO ;)

Karen,

Hi baby. I know. It's amazing isn't it? Posting it made me cry. I love it so much I watched for months and months. It's amazing. And so is Robyn. I don't know if you've met, but you should. You would absolutly adore her. She just survived her second bout with thyroid cancer and is stronger, wiser and funnier than ever. She's a great, great woman and I know the two of you would mesh beautifully. If you visit her blog tell her I sent you. Trust me, she'll have a good laugh.

XO!
~
Skeeter,

She's a gem. Glad you enjoyed. Think of you every day as I go out to feed the birds and squirrel and face my daffs!!! The snails are eating the crap out of them, but they're still yellow and sunny. Oh, and you made me laugh in the previous post. No honey, I don't think a Meyer Lemon tree would make it in your neck of the woods!!! Are you serious!!!!????

Love to all. XO

To The "Don't Delete" Team:

It's absolutely true. I have become the Delete Queen. Did anyone actually get to read it or listen to the video?!!! I can't describe exactly what took place, but it sorta looked like this as I came running back into my office...

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

No joke.

Seriously, I don't know what's wrong with me lately. I'm going to take time to think about it and then respond rather than try to figure it out right now, write, then delete. I did that you know! I just deleted 2 paragraphs!!! Well of course I'm laughing.

I love you all SO much, and thanks for making me laugh and think. We'll figure it out together, cuz we're a team!

Sincerely,
Me

(Megan, that nearly killed me!!!)

Hi Suzy.

Hi Suzanne,

Sorry to hear about the hungry snails munching on your flowers. If you were in the country, I'd say a chicken can be your best friend along those lines. Snails and slugs make for some very happy birds!

Best wishes,

Skeeter

This video is so sweet and powerful. I had tears running and I'm not normally a woman who cries. Hugs to you all and thanks for sharing, Suzanne.

Hi Blottie

Leah ~ Hi baby. :) XO

Skeeter ~ The snails are my own fault. I won't kill them (nor the slugs). One morning I didn't want to crush one when I backed out of the driveway so placed it back in the garden. A guy walking by said "I've never actually seen anyone put one back." We had a good laugh. I get to enjoy the daffs for a few days and then see them eaten away. I don't mind because I've planted so many varieties I have daffs for over 2 months! That's a good deal.

XO

e ~ My pleasure. It's a keeper. So glad you enjoyed. I'll stop by when I have some time. I can't seem to find the time to visit anyone. It's awful, but trust me, I'll stop by soon. XO!

Hi Bob! ~ I just got a good look at myself in the mirror walking through the foyer and thought "Oh dear lord!" So I plucked my eyebrows to perfection. I feel ten years younger!!! Yes, I know I should do it on a regular basis, but I get busy and get lazy. The next thing I know I look like something dragged from a cabin in the woods. Not anymore! I'm HOT!!! It's funny you know, my hair is grey, but my eyebrows are still brown. Go figure. Someone screwed up somewhere. Oh, and the scar on my forehead looks pretty good. It's time to have the photo taken for my license...only 5 months till I'm a year late!

Love Blottie!!!

Hey thanks for the good thoughts for dad. He came through just fine. Last night I couldn't sleep because I was so worried, and tonight I can't sleep because I'm so relieved!

I'm so glad everything worked out. And by the way, you crack me up.

I just wanted to say thanks for your most recent comment on my blog. I also wanted to tell you that I heard the same thing about Val Kilmer. He still does or used to spend a lot of time here in Boise and the stories got out about how he conducted himself when he was in town. I imagine at one point he was a decent fellow but the fame and the money usually take that decency away.

Gig said...

Hi Suze!!

Suzanne said...

Mr. Shife,

Hi sweetie. Oh the day gets closer!!! I'm so excited!

Val. You know he's from a very, very, very wealthy family and perhaps that has something to do with his attitude, but other wealthy people aren't complete assholes! He turned out to be a complete ass, and that's really too bad. He was a wonderful actor initially, then he got all stupid on us. Oh well. His burden.

Honey, I'm so excited about this baby! I am. I'm serious. What pure joy. I know you're Jewish, so I hope it's a girl. I love you darling. I really do. Please give our best to Mrs. Shife and know we're thinking about you in the weeks to come.

XO
