I'd Like That...

Rusty
~
If only I could be one of my kitties. Life would be wonderful. Stress free. All I'd really have to think about is which bed to sleep on, which lap to sit on, what food to eat (it's everywhere!) and who's desk to covet. Ah, to be one of my kitties. I'd like that.

Wow, I get to be first! Yeah Me! Ah, but the pressure to say something special, something musical or profound....shazbott...all I got is, you could sleep anyway you wanted at my place if you were a kitty and I don't have any cats! I would love the idea that you would tolerant my presence and look at me as if you understood my jabber even if you didn't have a clue! At the moment...kitty vs my teenager...no contest!
You figure out who would be chosen..lol
Love ya sis...glad your writing again,
Shara
ps...thanks for visiting

Hi Suzanne!
I'd like to say - if all kitties and all animals be with you - life would be wonderful!
I like that pic too
and I have a big ask:
Could I borrow your kitties pics and put them on my next post? (with your link). My next post will be about "animals feelings".
Please, answer me.

I often wonder about what it would be like to be my dog, Pippin. He lives the life of a Dauphin! Lovely photo.

Hi Queenie/Sis!

Teenagers. I was one and can you imagine being my poor parents? I can't! I would not wish me on a single soul! Yup, I was a challenge and somehow my Mom survived. So did Dad. I love them dearly because now that I'm older, I understand. Oh...My...God! Isn't there a blog award for parents like that?! If not, there should be. I would have killed me! Seriously. I couldn't imagine being a parent and putting up with my amount of crap! That took just pure, raw courage. And I had 5 sisters who followed close on my heels. Oh, and 3 brothers. Holy crap. My parents are still fortunately alive and well. My mom has often said the challenge is what inspired her! That's one remarkable woman. Dad, he was kind of a hoot. He taught us all about heavy equipment and how do be a mechanic! I have no idea how to be a mechanic, but can change the oil, do lots of other little stuff, but know how to operate a whole hell of a lot of heavy equipment! Who needs some backhoe work?! Oh, and can I move your vehicle with a bulldozer or plow a driveway? Please. I need the practice because of course practice makes perfect.

Oh Bindi...don't we know it! My life is so filled with it. I keep thinking it's gonna get better, but nope. It ain't! Rob's preparing for the Florida Bar Exam and as stressful as my life already is, it's worse. I detress on blogger, but then have to swim though that muck as soon as I leave. I keep thinking Brian will drop by to save me, but nope, he's gone bye-bye. So I'm floundering alone. Oh well.

You are welcome to anything you want. I love you so much it isn't even a question of if, but when. I'd be honored to have photos on your blog. Love you dear and please tell mom I'll be by soon. (She is just too cute!!!)

Much love and thanks for stopping by,

Travis,

You little rascal. I let out a big old laugh. I imagine my life as a kitty being like one of those post cards with kitties playing poker, drinking and generally just causin' trouble. I would be wearing an apron and cooking vegetarian! Oh, and also playing poker. I play a mean game of poker! No, you wouldn't win. Trust me. I played with the best in college. I don't screw around when it comes to poker and fish. Penny ante anyone!? I brought my biggest and bestest extra large mayonnaise jar filled to the brim. *Rubbing hands together and waiting for the big thrill...calling over to the Wild Onion...* "Can someone bring me a drink? (bottled mountain spring water please)" I'll see you in my dust.

XO

Bindi...meant to say "destress." Just typing too fast.

Leah,

You screwed me. I knew it, but I couldn't quite put my finger on it! Yoooooooooooooooooooouuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu little rascal. I have pretty good recall and when something doesn't feel righ, it usually isn't right. I knew it. I knew it, I knew it, I knew it. Okay...new rule. I'm always right! Why? Because I'm rarly wrong. I don't forgive you for this one because I don't want to go to rehab, I say no, no, no. I hear ya sista.

`1... Newman wrote that. God help us. I believe that means #1. YUP, HE IS!!! I'm trying to look up a Leah word. Give me a moment. Dauphine. Jesus Christ. Will you knock it off!? You know what dauphine means? It's a noun and the king of France's eldest son. Alright, that's it. I'm not lookin' up another one of your BIG words ever again. I know you're just screwin' with me now. I'm on strike.

Au revoir

I don't believe in reincarnation, but if I did, I'd want to come back as my cat (who is also named Rusty), and I'd want me to pamper me. If that makes any sense.

Gig,

If only life was wimple. I meant simple. Hey, it's almost 4 am! Give me a break! Sweet Pea is sleeping (now not) next to me and just looked up as I started laughing into the air!

Stress free. That's what I want my life to be. And I don't want any idiots around me either. Unfortunately, Rob has informed me the world is filled with stress and idiots. I told him "Then I'll move to the country." He implied it could get worse. Okay...I'm going over to The Wild Onion. And dance. Come join me honey.

You're alive. I just ran to your blog to read. Holy crap. I knew it had to be ugly. I'm just grateful you and your family are okay. Cecile and her family are okay too. Huge exhale. When you wrote about tonadoes in your youth my thought was "What about the animals?" And you wrote about them too. I knew it wouldn't be pretty, but I'm grateful you included them. Isn't life strange honey? We know something few others know. Absolute terror. What an odd thing to know about.

I love you. I'm so happy you and your family are safe. I love that town and yes, I believe in Native American folklore. You are in a very special place. Cherish it.

When you have some time, come on over to The Wild Onion. You'll have a blast. And I'm sure you noticed the "Final 4." All great teams...equal in almost every way. UCLA finally bit the dust. Ugh. Oh well...there's always next year. Right? ;)

Love you!!!

Well, well, well, Stephen Parrish graces my blog once again. It's been awhile. Did it take so long because you actually had to swim here from Europe?

I'm surprised you don't believe in reincarnation. Seriously. If I was fortunate enough to be reincarnated as a kittie, I'd like to be your Rusty too! And yes, I do understand.

Most of our kitties are named after Seinfeld characters, Rusty is no acception. He's named after the farting horse. Not because he's a farter, but because it's a terrific name. Especially because when he does something bad we get to say RRRRRRRRRRusty, just like Kramer! How'd your Rusty get his name?

Your posts have been amazing. I always love to lurk and comment when no one is looking. Thanks for stopping by. We'll talk soon.

Floots my dear man,

Our kitty Maestro (The Maestro) is also named Motor because if you just touch him, he purrs. It's brilliant! He's our fat, happy cat. Weighs in at a whopping 22 lbs. Not because he eats more, but because he's a tabby. A former Vet said when concern was raised about his weight "I'm partial to fat cats because too many are undernourished or starving ~ Maestro's perfect." So, no matter what he does, he's perfect!

Honey, how did Harry get a man's name?! Wet or dry, they're nothing like a kitty who loves you. You're a lucky man.

Love you my dear,
XO

P.S. And thank you for your amazing blog.

Suzanne said...

Mark!!!

Thank you so much my dear. Oh my goodness, what an honor. Honestly, when I saw if I was overwhelmed and cried. It's been a very difficult week here and to receive something so thoughtful and beautiful made my heart sing. You're too good to me.

And yes, Rusty is a very lucky kitty. I remind him often because sometimes he's a bad kitty! But he just goes merrily on his way as if he doesn't have a care in the world. Go figure. They're all a bunch of spoiled little brats, but I wouldn't change a thing.

:) Love you all, and thanks again ~ XO

Suzanne said...

Kylie,

Of course you can come live with us. Bring the wee ones and the animals ~ there's room for all. Bring the car too. I can't fit everyone in mine. I've been trying to catch up on comments and haven't eaten. Can you make me a sandwich too honey? Oh, and bring that purple flowering shrub. I covet that thing!

Love you,
Suze

Your blog is taking longer and longer for me to view because you display all of your posts on the main page. Go to Customize, Settings, Formatting, and then show X (say, 10) posts on the main page, and your blog will pop up much faster.

Suzanne said...

Dear Brian,

Well, I was going to prove Ms. What's Her Name wrong as promised, and wait 3 days to respond, but I'm a classic blogger. I ran helter skelter, reading, checking, rereading, rechecking, etc. It was brilliant! I did you proud and loved every minute of it!

It's nice to have you here finally. I've missed you terribly. We all have. You're so formal with me. Honey, I'm the most relaxed person you'll ever meet, so lets order that pizza you wrote about over on Leah's and get a good beer, put our feet up and relax. Well, perhaps I should rephrase that. I'm relaxed if I'm not p*****.

We didn't win Leah's socks. I thought I was a shoe-in with all the info I gave her about size, color, make, model...the whole 9-yards. Nope, she went with another knitter! I'm going to hold a contest and make sure she doesn't win. You can enter honey, perhaps you will.

Love you and it's so nice to see your face and hear your voice,

XO

P.S. Good luck with the orals.

I do envy my fat basset Quincy on the time. I mean the dude has his own personal servant - me. I feed him, walk him, pick up his poop, clean him, etc. I also envy him because he can lick himself well you know where. I can't be too vulgar on my first visit.

Suze! It's like a breath of fresh air in here! *breathing in deeply* Yes, smelling the roses...stopping here to do that my dear friend. Oh Suze, life! My birthday is on the 16th and I am so bummed out about it! You know what I mean...well probably not, you have lead a very full life! It's one of those moments in one's life, where it knocks you back and makes you re-evalute where one is in life. That is where I am as of now...just reeling a bit but that is where I am. Sucky job, no real adventure, no real talent...!
Ohhum! Well how are your wonderful ferals..cute as bugs?! Getting bigger by the moment. It is warming up as we speak...it hit 90 today, here in Elk Grove. I know can you believe that? I think it is going to be a hot, sticky summer...aagghhh! I will try to make my days off down at the coast for sure! I do not like over 100 degree weather!
Well my darling friend, I have missed you and relish all that you do! It was good to be missed and I too have missed you and the others! I will be over at the cafe, having something, anything at this point...lol!
Love ya!

Suzanne said...

I'm sorry, I have to take Robyn out of order. Why? Because she needs me and I need her.

Oh honey, you know what, I have denied the last 5 years. I have refused to acknowledge my birthday. I don't want cards, candles, cake, phone calls, anything. I like to pretend I'm still a wide-eyed woman with dreams. Yet, reality seems to encroach. Probably because it should. You can't stand still. I know that. But, I honestly think woman go through a major mid-life crisis, way more powerful than men. It honestly hurts to look at what you didn't do than what you did. It is painful, mind-bending, heart wrenching. I know you know what I mean. Honey, we all love you so much and we all know. Perhaps some of us more than others (but they'll get their chance!!!), but we know none the less. I was coming home from the park today and while going way too fast on 80, looked out at the mountains and Tahoe and over the universe and thought "Life is hard." And you know what? It is. I'm almost 50 and think "Well, when's it gonna get easier?" I don't know? Perhaps never. Maybe that's the lesson. We're here to learn something and it isn't always easy.

And no honey, my life isn't a dream. It's hard work.

I love you with all my heart,
XO
