To All My Dear Friends...

For the first time ever, I was unable to get all my Christmas cards out (bascially because I was blindsided by a blog!), so, for those of you who failed to recieve one, I'm so sorry, I hope this will suffice (probably not). It is the actual card and I have quite a few left, so you'll probably get it next year! And to my new "Blogger Friends," this is for you as well. I already have many, but imagine I will have collected all your addresses by next Christmas, and of course add you to my list.. Until then, please know that you have all affected my life in a very meaningful way and I enjoy talking to each and every one of you.

I wish all of you the very best. As for me, I've realized this will be a Christmas of quiet reflection and I plan to fully embrace it...

Much love, Suzanne

My darling feral kitties at the park. Sister and brother, Emma and Ireland.

Dear Suzanne,
What a lovely thought to put a Christmas card on your blog! I hope I am one of the new 'blogger friends' and I hope you don't mind that I've put a link to your blog on mine - is that ok?
I imagine I'll be online again tomorrow, thanks to my parents, but if not, have a wonderful Christmas of reflection.
Take care,
Peter x

hey suzanne, thanks for visiting my blog. you said you were married, with kitties etc etc and no-one would want to get cosy with you. I, too have the full domestic catastrophe..husband, kids, dog, rabbits, birds, cars, skeletons and neuroses but I hope that doesn't mean no-one will get cosy with me :)
lovely to see you taking a less frantic and commercial approach to christmas. Have a good one

I wasn't referring to you, dear Suzanne, you know that, you didn't insult me. there were people saying that "I suck" because I wouldn't answer after one day. That's the kind of people I am talking about! You're always welcome.

Peter, you certainly are one of my new blogger friends and if it isn't to costly to send you a Christmas card in Russia next year, I expect your address...STAT!! It has been a pleasure to meet you and I enjoy our communications. I'm trying to figure out how to give the one's that really matter my "REAL" email because I'm trying to avoid a lot of junk mail. Any suggestions? I have a great Wall of China to protect me, but I'm still reluctant. And no, I do not mind the link and now that I've finally discovered how to link, you will be one of mine. I assume we will always be friends and that is a wonderful thing...we'll navigate this stuff together! Until then, have a wonderful holiday. Hope to hear from you soon.

Much love, Suzanne

I'm insane about proper spelling...I meant to say TOO!!!

Kylie, Do you know what I love most about your comment? The way you spell cozy. We spell it cozy, but the Brits, etc., spell it cosy. I love that. It's much softer. My Grandmother was English (Ingersoll) and she would serve us tea every afternoon in beautiful china tea cups. In my heart I'm still a 5 year old being served tea is a Spode china cup! Oh and the pastries and finger sandwiches were terrific too! What beautiful memories.

About me and Mr 1Pic. He's like a brother. Ya know? Nothing more. Just a connection over the internet in words. I like that. He has gathered such a huge following and as women I think we should all embrace him. He isn't always perfect, but he makes us think. A lot!!! He has managed to bring so many of us together and I find that truly amazing. One guy. Many of us don't even love him, but he's managed in some way to do this. It's insane. I think your words spooked him because he didn't write to me after that for days! You scared him! Why? Who knows? But I think you did. He would probably come here right now and disagree, but I'm not so sure I'd believe him!

It's good to think.

Suzanne,
I totally agree that onepic has certainly brought people together - not just any people, but like-minded people and it's just a wonderful thing - it's reaffirming my faith in humans!
I'm glad that I will be one of your links, and, more importantly, a friend *big grin*
And I *love* the fact that you love how us Brits spell cosy - I too, am also very conscious of spelling (I am an English teacher, after all!).
Hmmm, trying to give real email addresses - I think that's a difficult one. I shall have a think over a glass (or a bottle) of wine and see what I can come up with.
Have a lovely day,
Take care,
Peter xx

this is freaky....i'm crazy about proper spellings and stuff too ! I'm probably (no definitely )weaker on grammar but still want it to be right.I dont care so much here though, just want to be quick.
if i spooked one pic i didnt mean it...just a turn of phrase. anyway, things will be what they'll be. (and i got what i wanted :)
i liked the tea and sandwich story...i had a Scottish neighbour as a kid, she would pour some tea into the saucer for her dog and give me chocolate sandwiches. hmmm interesting, i dont think i'd be so keen these days (on the choc sandwiches, that is. )
cheers

oh , and if you only swap email addresses with people who have owner approval on their camments(like onepic) they need not publish your comments and therefore your address is protected. i mean to change mine soon.

Peter ~ You make me laugh. Yes, 1pic has brought so many people together and that is a beautiful thing. Like minded? Well I found one comment written by a young woman I was totally offended by and let it rip! I later deleted it because I found my own response offensive! Go figure. But generally, I agree. 1pic edits beautifully and allows only good stuff in. Is that a good thing? I don't know. Perhaps he should let it all in and let us be the judge and jury. Perhaps that would be more democratic. I'm from the good ole' US of A...what do you expect???!!! Can we get a vote here????

Love ya, Suzanne xo

Suzanne said...

Kylie,

So funny, I never addressed your actual response! You're right. What does all of that matter?! Am I still appealing? I guess. I'm so self absorbed perhaps I didn't take the time to notice that anyone would notice! That is just too funny. We're all just trying to get through life and perhaps the answer lies instead in just slowing down, enjoying life and absorbing what comes along. You made me think. Thank you.

XO Suzanne

Ludmila,

Did you drop from heaven or what? You are such a treasure. I can't beleive you are in my life. Glad to hear you're through with your law studies, I think I confused you with my friend from India! Sorry!

Your options are open despite the current political and social issues in Brazil. Do something that makes your heart sing. I had a brilliant professor, Julia Rowe, at the California College of the Arts, and she taught me to make my heart sing. Do what you love and everything will follow. You can help your country if you listen to your inner voice. You know who you are and you know what you want. Listen. Simply listen.

XO Suzanne

1pic ~ being welcomed is a wonderful thing. Thank you. As far as idiots go, well you know the drill. Blah, blah, blah, blah blah. As my hubby likes to remind me "The world is filled with them!" Brilliant. And he's the optomist!

Beautiful photos as usual :-D

Thank you for visiting my blog again and thanks for your lovely comments!

You asked about my gender - I hope you don't mind, but I'd rather keep that private online. It's nothing personal, I just like to keep fairly anonymous on the Internet. I hope you don't mind :-D

I have some more photos of that bulding site by the way, but I don't want the photos to become too repetitive.

I want to go back to the site to take more photos because all the colours made such interesting pictures, but there's probably nothing left at all now :-(

Well, I've got to go to lunch now, so I'll end this rather long comment!

Bye for now and I hope to see some more lovely pictures on your blog soon!

Jennifer,

Hi sweetie. How I love a visit from you and your pink daisy! Stop by more often now that I've finally settled into blogger. Why? Because you make me smile from ear to ear. I treasure our friendship and thank you for your kind and generous comments. I adore you Jennifer Grey!

You're blog is beautiful as always. I've enjoyed the recent posts and love reading what the "Ladies" are saying. I check in nearly every day just to be sure you're maintaining or raising the bar!

By the way I found a wonderful blog ~ Hobie's World and have been in contact with the woman who writes it (Susan). She's terrific. She's in San Diego and her sister has a shop you might like to visit. If you go to Hobie's World (I have a link) page down about half way and there's a photo of the shop and her sister. Just that one photo peeked my interest. Let me know and I'll shoot her off an email. Perhaps she can take a bunch of photo to give us an overview and then you can decide whether or not it's worthy of your attention. Oh, and while you're at it, read the blog if you have time (HA!!!). It's just brilliant and yes, that is one lucky dog!

Love you sweetie. We'll talk soon. Oh, no need to call obviously because I figured out the linkie~dinkie stuff. It couldn't have been more simple! It took two months of looking all over the place to find it in the right place. I felt quite stupid, but I laughed very, very hard.

Love to you, the kitties and hubby,
Suzanne XO

Not knowing your gender is absolutely fine with me! In fact, I appreciate your strong will. I hope I didn't offend you in any way.

Thank you so much for your kind words about my photographs. You made me feel really good. I'll include more as time permits (I haven't even had time to get all my favorite links up)! I've realized how much work a blog is!!! It's also absolutely wonderful. It's brought another level of joy to my life I really hadn't expected. The people I've met, the blogs I've read, the talent I've seen...it's all good. But as I stated on your blog, I think I'm going to need an assistant if this continues! I have no idea how 1Pic does it. Well, he isn't long-winded...that certainly helps. :)

Saw your new pics today and really enjoyed them. Still love the door in the wall and had to have another look. Left a comment for you. Actually a few because I was so tired I kept making spelling errors and had to correct them. I was in stitches by the time I wrote the last one.

Till next time, take care and thanks for stopping by. I always enjoy your visits.

XO Suzanne

Hi Kim ~
It's so good to hear from you! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and look forward to more posts as soon as you have time and get the camera working again. Happy to hear Leia is feeling better. I was suprised when you told me a vet can't fix a broken hip. Ugh. Give her a special hug from me. Give one to yourself while your at it! Talk to you soon sweetie.

XO Suzanne
p.s. Almost Happy New Year!

Thank you for your comment on my blog. As you can see, I am new at this stuff. I have limited time, so I don't get to post something everyday. But, I am trying. I love to write, and the poem about Christmas was one that popped into my head while I was typing it. That is usually how things work for me. I am awaken in the middle of the night and I cannot go to sleep until I find pen and paper to write something down. THen months could go by before I am inspired again. Please visit any time, and I will be sure to visit you as well.

Loewny,

What a gift. You're perfectly beautiful, just as I'd expected. I looked up Nina Simone and like her.

I know how difficult it is politically and socially in you country. Hang on. Statiscally speaking it has to improve. I'm hopeful.

Honey, have you met Ludmila M.? She's also from Brazil. She a lawyer, very smart, very funny and very, very kind. I adore her. I think the two of you should connect. I don't know how far you are from one another, but the thought of you two getting together for coffee or a drink makes me smile. You're perfectly suited to one another. She's young, 25, but you know as I do, age doesn't really matter. And as a teacher you already have a brilliant awareness. I really do hope your're only miles apart and find one another. She's on my blog and on 1pic's, so just click on to find her.

I love you photos and I especially love the architecture. The church made my jaw drop. No joke. Let's always stay in touch. We've found one another for a reason.

Much love,
Suzanne
